Scottish PEN believes that students in schools and further education should be encouraged to discuss issues of freedom of expression, and has developed the PENPower and Zoravia projects to promote this.

We are members of Literature in Learning, a joint initiative led by the Scottish Book Trust which works with writers and teachers to develop the creative use of language. We are also represented on the Literature Forum’s Education and Communities Group.
