THE END OF THE UNION?
Scottish PEN event at the Edinburgh International Book Festival on 19th August, 19.00 - 20.15
This year's PEN event at the Book Festival - generously supported by the Faculty of Advocates - will be a panel discussion on the cultural implications around the possibility of Scottish independence. How would Scottish identity be changed by independence? How will literature, the arts and media contribute? How will this effect our relationship with the rest of the UK and the wider world? And what happens if independence is rejected?
Two giants of Scottish journalism are among those scheduled to participate:
Magnus Linklater will chair a panel to include Neal Ascherson (plus others to be announced).
Further details as to who is taking part will be posted over the next few days, but meantime you can read more at the Edinburgh Book Festival website
