Departures and Arrivals, supported by The Open University highlights Scottish PEN’s project to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Homecoming. This project explores ‘home’ and ‘homecoming’ and ‘belonging’ in a variety of ways, both literal and metaphorical, dealing with contemporary issues or modernising the most ancient of myths and all work is being recorded both for CD and online presentations. We are delighted to welcome to the project, the internationally acclaimed writer, Margaret Atwood, Vice-President of International PEN. The four writers taking part will read extracts of poetry, story and memoir, followed by a discussion.
